PTS Trauma Registry News

This month of September we congratulate the Trauma Registry team at the Clínica Foianini Hospital in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, and their director, Dr. Esteban Foianini. They have been upgraded to TIER 2 of the ITSDP/PTS Trauma Registry.  They began registry implementation with the Essential Elements Tier (Tier 1), and have successfully collected data and are ready to increase their data element collection number.

About the Registry:

The Trauma Registry is divided into 4 tiers. Each tier has a specific number of data elements assigned to it, ranging from a basic number of elements to a full registry. Tier 1 (Essential Elements Tier) has around 60 data elements and is recommended for smaller hospitals and captures the minimal data needed to support quality improvement programs for trauma care.

Once a month we will be giving members updates about current PTS trauma registry participating sites.
